E-Learning Unit
Hebron University uses the E-learning approach to combine the best of traditional face-to-face learning and online instructions without reducing seat time. The E-Learning Unit at the University aims at supporting the e-learning process, bringing it up to the best possible technological standard, to guarantee its continued growth, and work to extract the greatest possible benefits from it. It helps to create a flexible education environment and make it easier for the University to fulfill its strategic aspirations. We develop E-courses and E-classes, blogs, Wiki, virtual conferencing, and E-libraries for students use. Our E-courses have been developed based on international standards.
Tasks and responsibilities of the Unit
- Building the infrastructure and establishing the ELU requirements (SW and HW).
- Spreading awareness of the cultural of E-learning to guarantee continued development with regard to technology, and to extract the greatest possible benefit from it.
- Training both instructors and students for ICT applications so as to develop their skills, understanding and knowledge.
- Developing e-course and integrating e-learning system with other supporting systems which are available for staff, students, and local community.
- Evaluation and Quality Assurance measures are monitored to check students and instructors satisfactions
Our e-learning system components include Moodle platform, e-portfolio, Content management system (CMS), and web conference system (HU live class).
ELU uses Moodle platform as a learning system that is synchronised with the University’s registration system and all courses can be add automatically for both students and staff.
