Abstract
This study investigates an Islamic waqf (endowment) document which shows evidence of the boundaries of the land endowed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Tamim ad-Dari, a companion of the Prophet. The document was found registered under case No. 768 in volume 8 of the Records of the Shari'a Court of Jerusalem. The document is a copy of a lawsuit filed to prove the ownershipof the endowed land or property after it was encroached on.After the Court had heard and considered the testimony of trustworthy witnesses, the boundaries of the waqf and its sites were determined. The importance of this study stems from the fact that the document has never been investigated, and that the documentidentifies the boundaries of the endowed land, includingthe names of the sites, and determiningthe exact location of the endowed land over whichthere has been a controversy among historians. This study includes an introduction to the land endowed to Tamim ad-Dari  and an analysis of the waqf document, based on reliable historical sources and documents. The study concludes with highly reliable and objective  findings, which can be considered beneficial for specialists in the Arab-Islamic heritage
