Abstract:

This study aims at identifying the degree of practicing servant leadership and its relation to teachers' quality of professional life by secondary school principals at Hebron governorate. It also aims to recognize the effect of gender, academic qualification and years of experience on the degree of practicing the servant leadership and the level of the teachers' quality of the professional life. Population of the study consisted of all secondary school teachers (2902) from which a sample of 146 was chosen as subjects of the study. Results revealed that the degree of practicing servant leadership was medium while the level of quality of the professional life got a low degree. There was also a statistically significant positive correlation between practicing the servant leadership and the level of the quality of professional life. Findings also showed that there were no statistically significant differences in subjects' estimation of the degree of practicing servant leadership and the level of quality of professional life attributed to gender, academic qualification or years of experience.
