Abstract:

The study aimed to identify the degree of practicing educational decision-making skills by the principals of Qasbah Irbid schools in Jordan from the perspective of teachers. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive survey method was used by developing a questionnaire tool which consisted of (29) items distributed into two domains (intellectual and procedural skills). The study sample consisted of (419) teachers from Qasbah Irbid schools. The study results showed that the degree of practicing educational decision-making skills among principals of Qasaba Irbid schools was high from the perspective of its teachers. The results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences in teachers’ estimates of practicing degree on the tool as a whole and its domains due to variables of gender, qualification degree and the years of experience. The study recommended conducting similar studies in other governorates of Jordan and training school principals how to employ educational decision-making skills in administrative work to develop their performance.
