International medical delegation visits the University

An international delegation of physicians and surgeons were received by HU Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Nabil Jabari and the University President.

Mr. Saeed Hamad, HU Liaison Office director in Ramallah, welcomed the guests and stressed the importance of such visits in creating opportunities for cooperation between the University and the international community.

The Dean of Planning for Development, Dr. Salman Talahmeh, briefed the delegation about the University since its inception, reviewing the academic developments and its future academic plans and programs. 

Dr. Walid Zalloum, a member of HU Board of Trustees and the Medical Director of Alia governmental hospital, shed light on the severe shortage of qualified medical staff and the obstacles the medical personnel and patients experience in reaching health facilities due to Israeli numerous restrictions. He also stressed the need for a medical college, and called on the delegation to participate in the development process

Dr. Ayaz Malik, head of the delegation, expressed his pleasure having the chance to visit the University. 

The delegation expressed its appreciation for the visit showing the sincere eagerness to collaborate with the University in all disciplines.
