Language Professor presents at an international workshop on Moroccans in pluralistic societies


Dr. Ibrahim Melouki, assistant professor of the French language program presented a paper titled ' The Dimension of Arab Identity in Multicultural Communities' in an international workshop on Moroccans in pluralistic societies held in Casablanca, Morocco.   


The paper discussed the identity of Moroccans present in Palestine from the time of the Crusades, and touched on the factors that link the Maghreb region to Palestine; especially in terms of religion, language and geographical affiliation of the Arab region.

 

Professors and researchers from more than 30 countries  attended the workshop which was organized as a cultural intellectual activity in conjunction with the International Book Fair, which is held annually in Casablanca through the Moroccan Ministry of Culture and in cooperation with the Council of the Moroccan Community Living Abroad (CCME)
