Centre for French Language Sources organizes awareness meeting on cybercrime

The French Language Resource Center, in partnership with the Legal Clinic, and in cooperation with the Cybercrime Unit of the General Investigation Department in Hebron sponsored an awareness-raising workshop on cybercrime and its impact on daily life. Dean College of Arts Dr. Raghad Dweik noted the dangers of social media and smartphone misuse and the importance of these awareness meetings. The workshop was co-framed by the Head Cybercrime Unit in Hebron, Captain Mutassim El-Amleh and Dr. Alaa Khalayleh. The types of crime registered with the police, such as threats and extortion cases, were reviewed in order to increase the security and legal culture of students, familiarize them with the best safety methods while using the Internet and introduce them to how to avoid becoming victims of cybercrime and acting properly.
