Hebron University Holds International Scientific Symposium on "Language Policy and Teaching Foreign Languages"
Hebron University organized an International Scientific Symposium entitled "Language Policy and Teaching Foreign Languages," which was supervised by the French Language Resource Centre in cooperation with the French Consulate in Jerusalem. The symposium was attended by Ambassador Abdel Rahim Meziane of Morocco, French Educational Cooperation Attachée Gaëlle Bessonnat, Deputy Ambassador of Palestine to Belgium, Mr. Hassan Al-Balawi, Deputy Ambassador of Palestine to Saudi Arabia, and from the Accreditation and Quality Authority, Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Rub. The guests were received by Dr. Raghad Dweik, Dean of the College of Arts, Chairperson of the Department of English Language & Literature and Professors of French at the University.
The symposium was held over two scientific sessions. Four scientific papers were presented in the first session and three in the second. The papers were presented by Professor Philippe Lane from Rouen Normandy University in France, Dr. Bilal Al-Shafei from An-Najah University , Dr. Ibrahim Maluki from Hebron University, Mrs. Hayat Rajoub, Professor Didier Maya from the University of Friborg, Mr. Rami Fayyad, and Mr. Nermin Sidr, from the French language program at Hebron University.
