French Language Resource Centre takes part in meeting of French University Veterans Network

The French Consulate General in Jerusalem hosted a meeting of the network of veterans of French universities at the French Institute in Ramallah, in the presence of the French Consul General in Jerusalem, Mr. René Trocaz, the Undersecretary of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Basri Saleh, and a number of officials from the French Consulate, Palestinian Higher Education, Palestinian universities, and graduates of French universities.

The university was represented by Dr. Ibrahim Malouki and a number of students of the French language program. Dr. Malouki briefed, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, his accompanying delegation and the new officials at the French consulate  on the reality of teaching French and its prospects at the university and public schools in Hebron Governorate.

The meeting included several panel discussions, the most important of which was an analysis of the current status of the academic exchange program between French and Palestinian universities, as well as the promotion of cooperation and the role of scientific research in universities, as it is an essential component in achieving community development, and the meeting also addressed the importance of learning French to facilitate the building of scientific and cultural bridges.
