HU participates in Hebron Govt.'s 2nd Employment Conference

 

Hebron University participated in the Second Employment Conference "Towards a Green Economy," organized by Hebron Governorate's three chambers of commerce, promoting comprehensive economic development and green economy concepts.

The conference was held at the Palestinian Korean Center affiliated with with the Hebron Municipality under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, His Excellency the Minister of Industry, Mr. Arafat Asfour, His Excellency, the Chairman of the Environment Quality Authority, Dr. Nisreen Al-Tamimi, the Chairman of the Federation of Palestinian Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, Mr. Abdo Idris, the President of Hebron University, Dr. Raghad Dwaik. The conference was attended by representatives of HU Alumni Unit, Public Relations, entrepreneurial students, graduates, and a large group of governmental, official, civil, and community institutions in Hebron Governorate.

During the second session, a group of Hebron University graduates, Batoul Al-Masry, Saja Idris, and Yasmine Dwaik, reviewed the findings and recommendations of a scientific research paper titled "The Green Economy and Its Role in Achieving Sustainable Development in Gold Factories in the City of Hebron". The graduates stressed a set of green practices that must be offered in gold industries, particularly in the city of Hebron, as well as the level of factory commitment to these practices.

HU Alumni Unit showcased its services in green jobs, focusing on sustainable employment for graduates. The Unit offers financing for entrepreneurs to establish small green projects and paid training for graduates interested in working in green institutions. The Unit's program aims to support green vision and employment opportunities.

Over 50 institutions and companies showcased their unique green economy projects to students and graduates at the Exponeur Pavilion, where they showcased their products and ideas to the conference attendees and visitors.
