HU College of Political Science and Law takes part in first regional IT law moot court competition
The College of Law and Political Science at Hebron University participated in the first regional moot court competition in information technology law. Organized by the Faculty of Law at the British University in Egypt, and attended by prominent figures from legal and political circles, the competition focused on the intersection of information technology law and international humanitarian law.
The competition, which featured 23 teams from the Middle East and Africa, started with an opening ceremony that featured a speech by the British University's president.
A team of students from the HU College of Law and Political Science participated in the competition. The team delivered an amazing performance, demonstrating a thorough awareness of the intricate legal issues pertaining to electronic liability during conflicts.
Prominent experts in information technology law and international humanitarian law presented on challenges and developments, focusing on a hypothetical case examining cybersecurity and social media responsibility during conflicts, a crucial issue in the digital age.
Finally, the attendees engaged in intellectual exchange and discussion of the knowledge they had acquired throughout the three days of the conference, enriching their experience with new perspectives and legal experiences from various nations.
