Hebron University hosts Professors from Portland State University

Director of the Excellence Center, Professor Ahmad Atawneh and Dr. Mai Maghathi received Professor Kevin and Professor Sheila from Portland State University who were accompanied by Samar Abboushi from the AMIDEAST in their visit to the excellence center at Hebron University.  Twenty staff members from different departments attended the meeting.

Professor Kevin talk about the Excellence Center activities at Portland State University and discussed how community engagement has become a successful model of teaching at Portland. Professor Sheila talked about the community institute that she runs at Portland making connections with the private sector to find support for graduate students in her program.  Then, the floor was opened for discussion about how academic issues work at Portland in relation to excellence in teaching.
