Hebron University Holds a Workshop on Ways to Develop Practical Education

 

The Faculty of Education held a workshop  entitled  “ Ways of  Developing  Practical Education,” which aimed  at getting acquainted with  the practical education program  which was prepared by the  Ministry of Education and the possibility  of applying it at the University. The workshop was attended by a delegation from the Ministry of Education headed by Mr. Tharwat Zaid director general of Educational Administartion and Supervision, and also representatives of the Governorate schools such as deputies, school principals and supervisors. Mr. Tharwat Zaid presented the practical education program prepared by the Ministry and with the participation of the Palestinian universities. He pointed out to some obstacles and the environment in which the practical education will be applied taking into account the clusters principle. Dr. Abdullah Besharat coordinator of the program in the Ministry of Education presented the distribution of the practical education hours at the University and in the teaching schools. The coordinator of the  practical education Dr. Ibraheem Abu-“Iqail  posited  the practical  education program which will be taught  in the University considering  its advantages  and indicating the  extent   of   difference and similarity  between what the Ministry offered and what is applied at Hebron University. He emphasized that the differences and variations are very meager. The conferees expressed thaeir admiration of the level of applying practical education in the University in matters of organization, precision and follow-up

At the  of the meeting  there was a lengthy discussion  about the possibility  of Hebron University joining  the  practical education project through its  success in  the teachers’ rehabilitation  project. Then Dr. Nabil Jundi the Dean of Education welcomed   the idea of Hebron University joining the practical education project which is implemented by the Ministry of Education and financed by the World Bank for serving the Palestinian people and specially the University students.
