Media Department Participates in the Opening of Youth International Cinematic Festival

 

The Department of Media at Hebron University participated in the opening session of Youth International Cinematic Festival held in Dar Al-Kalima College in Bethlehem.

The delegation discussed the means of cooperation with Dar Al-Kalima Colleges, Ms. Tamara Musleh, festival coordinator, and the Youth Filmmakers Association in an attempt to enhance students' abilities and skills in the field documentary production.

While meeting the organizing committee of the festival, Dr. Said Shaheen, Head of Media Department, stated that, this participation comes in the framework of recognizing youth international cinematic experience in the field of documentary production in a way that boosts transferring the experience to students in the media department at Hebron University.

Dr. Shaheen also asserted the importance of exchanging experiences between Dar Al-Kalima College and the Media Department at Hebron University in the field of cinema production.

From her side, Ms. Fatin Nestas Mitwasi, Head of Fine Arts Department, expressed her pleasure by the participation of Media Department from Hebron University. She also welcomed any kind of cooperation between the two institutions.

It is worth mentioning that films presented in the festival relied on different techniques including drama, documentary, animation, and demos.
