Yasser Arafat Bloc Wins Elections of Students Union at HU

 

Elections of Students Union at Hebron University took place for its 2014/2015 session. Prof. Ahmed Atawneh, University President and Mr. Hakam Al-Jabari, Directors of Students Affairs visited all polling stations and reassured the supervision of the Supreme Commission of Elections. HU President stressed the need for credibility and impartiality at the electoral process.

The number of voters was (4056) from a total of (6086) students entitled to vote, with a percentage of 66.7%. Students elected four blocs, namely; Martyr Yasser Arafat Bloc, Hebron leftist Bloc, Al-Mubdara Bloc and the Islamic Bloc.

In the presence of representatives of all the blocs, the votes have been counted and the results were announced by the head of the supervising committee in a press conference. Results of elections were as follows:
