Hebron University is to organize an International Conference on Transitional Justice

Hebron University Law School, through its Legal Clinic, with the support of United Nations Development Programme, Strengthening the rule of law in the occupied Palestinian territory: justice and security for the Palestinian people, will organize an international conference on “Transitional Justice in the Context of Palestine” on Tuesday, 18 November 2014, at Strategic Studies Building, Hebron University campus, Hebron, Palestine. The conference will incorporate multidisciplinary experts on transitional justice from Europe, United States, South Africa, Palestine, Palestinians in Israel, and the United Nations. The purpose of the conference is to explore the possibilities of applying transitional justice mechanisms as a means to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to advance the internal Palestinian conciliation, by looking at successful transitional justice cases in other parts of the world.
