Science and Technology Week at Hebron University

Dr. Nabeel Al-Ja'bari, Chairman of Board of Trustees, inaugurated the Science and Technology Week at the University in the presence of Board of Trustees members, the university president, Dr. Salah al-Zarou, vice presidents, professors and teachers and representatives of local organizations from different sectors in Hebron.

At the outset of the ceremony, Dr. Nabeel Al-Hasasneh, Dean of the college of Science and Technology and the organizer of the event, delivered a presentation about goals, importance and vision of the event, workshops to be held, exhibitions and the participating companies. He also pointed to the important role of this science week in showing students' creative abilities and skills in order to create a supportive environment of competition and excellence.

In his turn, Mr. Fawzi Abu Hleil, Head of Education Directorate in Southern Hebron, complemented on such initiatives by Hebron University. In his speech, he emphasized the necessary cooperation between the local schools in Hebron and the University for the Development of the education process in the city. 

Dr Nabeel al-Ja'bari highlighted the university's vision and the policy of utilizing technology in education and following up-to-date scientific and technological developments. He also displayed the history of different colleges at the university, highlighting the recently opened College of Pharmacy. Dr. al-Jabari expressed his ambitions to start establishing a pharmaceutical factory in Hebron. Finally, he thanked the organizers and the college of Science for this event, affirming he will always support creative ideas. He encouraged the college to start science summer camps for young inventors. At the end of his speech, Dr. al-Jabari expressed his pride of creative and talented Palestinians.

It is worth mentioning that the science week lasts from Monday 6th April 2015 till Thursday 9th April 2015, opened for schools, organizations, students and the local community.
