Obtaining the accreditation of Midwifery Bachelor program

The College of Nursing at Hebron University has got the approval of the Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education to establish a Bachelor program of Midwifery, starting from the first semester of the academic year 2015/2016. The dean of faculty of nursing Dr Hussein Jabareen mentioned that this is the first Bachelor program of Midwifery in the southern West Bank which is accredited by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission in Palestine. Hebron University is establishing this program as a response to the growing demand of the local community for this specialty and to meet the health institutions needs of midwives with a university bachelor's degree.
