Hebron University Celebrates 41st Graduation Ceremony



Under the auspices of Dr. Nabil al-Jabari, Chairman of Board of Trustees, and in the presence of Board Members, University President, and deputies, Hebron University celebrated the 41st Graduation Ceremony which was attended by faculties' deans, academic and administrative staff, representatives of institutions, mayors, and a huge crowd of families and students.

Dr. Salah al-Zarou, University President, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the graduates' families and the attendees. In addition, he touched on the university's horizons represented in adding new colleges and programs. He also talked about the university's future plan to establish the Faculty of Medicine and a teaching hospital. At the end of his speech, he thanked graduates' parents and congratulated the graduates describing them as the university's ambassadors.

Student Hanadi Sonuqrot, from the faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, delivered the graduates' speech in which she thanked the university's administration and the academic staff. She also asked officials to help graduates finding their suitable jobs.

Dr. Omar Lattouf, Professor of Surgery, expressed his delight attending the ceremony describing the university as the minaret of education. He also expressed Arab and Palestinian Americans' support to Hebron University.

Member of Parliament, Mr. Talab Abu Arar, congratulated the graduates and wished them a very prosperous future. He also thanked Dr. Nabil for opening the university for 1948 students despite of all obstacles imposed by the Israelis.

In his speech to the graduates, Dr. Nabil al-Jabari welcomed the audience and indicated that this graduation is the fruit of students' strenuous efforts over years. He insisted on continuing the university's academic journey in spite of all pressures practiced by the Israeli occupation. He called on Palestinian unity since it is the way to reach the Palestinian state.

Dr. al-Jabari also asked the private sector to support the education process through helping poor students and provide aids that help students join the Palestinian universities. At the end of his speech, Dr. al-Jabari congratulated the graduates and asked them to be good ambassadors of Hebron University.

The university's administration thanked the volunteers from Red Crescent Society for their help organizing the ceremony.

At the end of the ceremony, Dr. Nabil distributed certificates to the graduates and wished them a bright future.
