A New Book by a Professor from the College of Law and Political Science
Dr. Ihab Amro, Assistant Professor of Private Law at the Hebron University College of Law and Political Science, published a new book entitled “Selected Legal Topics in the light of Theory and Practice”. The book, which has been published by the Academic Bookshop in Palestine, deals with selected legal topics of economic and social aspects, such as the validity of arbitration clauses within individual labor contracts and in personal status disputes as well as the accession of Palestine to the 1958 New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
The book also highlights the phenomenon of honor crimes, social security system in Palestine, the relevance of imposing tax income over agricultural income, the validity of the Ottoman brokerage order in practice, the Trademarks Law of 1952 and the necessity for its amendment, the need to modify the current Tourism Law, the commercialization of the pharmacy profession, and the prospect for Palestine to join the World Trade Organization.
