Media students participate in a training course on human rights and social media in Ramallah


The university Media students participated in a training course organized by the Social Media Cafe in cooperation with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights at Ankars Hotel in Ramallah, which lasted for two days under the title "Promoting Human Right through Social Media"

The course included several topics concerning international human rights law, international humanitarian law, monitoring and documenting abuses, advocacy issues and accountability for human rights violations, and how to use social media recruitment in the dissemination and draw public awareness to the importance of these rights. The trainers were from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. The training was a merge between theoretical and practical applications.

The Director of the Office of the High Commissioner in Palestine distributed the certificates to the participants who praised and thanked the Social Media Cafe and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights on that valuable training course.
