Hebron University is the first institution in the Arab world to sign the Declaration on World Peace
The College of Law and Political Science hosted a conference to launch the campaign in the Arab World to collect signatures in support of the Declaration of Peace and Cessation of War that was drafted by a group from South Korea “Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light” (HWPL). The President of Hebron University welcomed the guests and stressed the relevance of peace to justice, particularly the right of the Palestinian people’s in self-determination.
Letters of peace were distributed to the roughly 200 participants who wrote messages of peace directed to the international community.
Dr. Mutaz Qafisheh, Dean of the College of Law and Political Science explained the significance of the Declaration and its relevance to the peace in Palestine and to the Arab region.
