The University receives a delegation from the University of Siena
Hebron university has received a delegation from the University of Siena in Italy as part of the European funded Erasmus+ student exchange projects. The delegation included Professor Gabriele Usberti - academic coordinator of the Erasmus + International Credit Mobility project, Dr. Guido Badalamenti - manager of the Internationalization and Research Area, Dr. Annalisa Poggialini - Director of the International Relations Division, Dr. Candida Calvo Vicente - Incoming Students and Researchers Office, and Mary Calvelli - Head of the Italian Center for Cultural Exchange (VIK) in Gaza.
In the beginning of the visit, President of Hebron University Dr. Salah Al-Zaro welcomed the delegation and emphasized the importance of student exchange as a means of deepening the collaboration between the two universities, which can be achieved through Erasmus and other international programs.
The delegation also met with the Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Nabil Al-Hasasneh, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies & Research Dr. Radwan Barakat, and Eng. Ahmad Ghayyada & Lina Abushkhaidem from the Grants office, as well as a number of professors and students interested in student exchange.
Student exchange opportunities and procedures within the Erasmus+ program were discussed throughout the meeting, in addition to the importance of fully utilizing this cooperation for future academic and research projects.
As part of their visit, the delegation was given a tour of the university campus, Hebron's Old City, and the Ibrahimi Mosque. The delegation finally thanked the university for all the arrangements and steps it makes to ensure the success of this project, and promised more cooperation in further areas of mutual interest.
